Nestled in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, Danville is a quintessential New England town with a central green surrounded by homes, church, library, town hall, post office and several unique shops. The Danville Green is the focal point for a variety of local activities including the annual Danville Fair, the annual Autumn on the Green craft fair, the Caledonia County Farmers' Market and Sunday evening band concerts sponsored by the Pope Library. Other prominent features of Danville include Joe’s Pond and the Community Beach area, Greenbanks Hollow Covered Bridge and historical area, the Old North Church, the multiplicity of walking areas and snowmobile trails, the scenic beauty of the surrounding hills, an interesting variety of shops that offer a wide range of unique and local gifts and necessities, the bucolic nature of our historical and present economic base and the friendly and community-minded spirit of our citizens.
The role of the Danville Chamber is to support local public non-profit organizations and to support the local business community as it strives for growth. Over the past 10 years, the Danville Chamber of Commerce has donated over $62,000 to local organizations such as the Danville Volunteer Fire Department, Danville School, Danville Historical Society, West Danville Community Club, Pope Library, Danville Town Band and other equally worthy organizations.
