The St. Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury, VT, is a nationally recognized independent boarding and day school for grades 9-12 and post-graduate.


Lyndon State College, located in Lyndonville, VT, serves the area with a wide variety of degree programs. Well-respected for its meteorology, business and communications programs, the college is graced with a picturesque setting and a historical campus. Once the private residence of T.N. Vail, founder of AT&T, the campus overlooks the town and the mountains beyond.

Sterling College in scenic Craftsbury, VT combines structured academic study with experiential challenges and plain hard work to build responsible problem solvers who become stewards of the environment as they pursue productive lives. Sterling College offers bachelor's degrees in Conservation Ecology, Outdoor Education and Leadership, Sustainable Agriculture and more.

For one of a kind, outdoor learning experiences, visit R.O.O.T.S. which stands for Reclaiming Our Origins Through Traditional Skills. Here in Marshfield, VT you can take day, weekend or week long courses in survival skills, flint knapping, bow building, tracking and awareness and more. Camps for kids and teens are even offered during the summer.
