The opportunities for special touches abound -- consider arriving at your reception in a horse-drawn carriage, or treat your guests to a kayaking river trip the evening before the wedding as a part of the fun! You can even arrange to have your wedding favors locally made -- gift baskets with locally made Vermont treats, maple syrup, hand-crafted candles -- to remind your guests of your wonderful Vermont wedding in the Northeast Kingdom!

Located within a short drive or bike ride from Jay Peak Resort, the Montgomery House has been a haven for travelers since 1803. With added amenities, tranquil grounds, an outdoor hot tub, a breathtaking view of Hazen's Notch and nourishing meals, the Montgomery House Bed & Breakfast offers a comfortable night's rest in the heart of northernmost Vermont.
Each room or suite at The Montgomery House has been individually decorated, with abundant antiques, as well as robes, hair dryers, television and private bath. WiFi service is available and there is a laptop available for public use in the front sitting room, with cable modem internet access. Some rooms are designated 'pet friendly' for your furry traveling companion.
The Montgomery House is an enchanting place for smaller weddings and receptions, as well as rehearsal dinners for up to 30. We have hosted small wedding ceremonies both indoors in the dining room as well as outside in the back . Our wedding arch looks out to Hazen's Notch, an inspiring view for your most special occasion. We have planted the grounds so as to maintain a continuum of flowers throughout the seasons, highlighted by our lily beds which bloom from late June-July. With Lilacs in late May, and the Hydrangea tree in the fall, we strive to cultivate beauty and fragrance naturally. In addition to our lovely grounds, we are located just across the street from the Montgomery Historical Society building, a former church that frequently functions for wedding ceremonies.
